Soyelle Candle Care
- Always place your soy wax candle on a flat, heat resistant surface and away from drafts.
- When lighting your soy wax candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the container. Failure to do this often causes "tunneling" which will limit the life of your new soy wax candle.
- Soyelle Candles are made with 100% cotton wicks, which do not burn 100% and therefore need to be trimmed regularly.
- Aim to trim your wick to about 5mm each time before you re-light your candle. This will ensure a long lasting candle, minimize soot and remove any mushrooming of carbon on the tip of the wick.
- Extinguish the flame if it becomes too large or starts to flicker. Allow it to cool down before trimming the wick and check for drafts.
- The best way to extinguish your soy wax candle is by using a wick snuffer and then straightening. This will stop the wick smoking and help when re-lighting.
- Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Discontinue use of candle once the wax has reached 1/2”.
- As your soy wax candle burns the jar may become hot, please handle with care. Allow the jar to cool before placing the lid back onto the jar.
